Mountain Vibez Outrearch Program – Good Vibez N High Fivez

We at Mountain Vibez believe we can change a child’s life for the better through snowboarding. We are dedicated to enriching the lives of disadvantaged youth through sharing our passion and love of snowboarding by providing them with one on one fun filled lessons given by members of our team. Our goal is to teach them about the benefits of positive outlets in life. We partner with local organizations with similar goals of positively impacting disadvantaged youth to put on an event called “Good Vibez N High Fivez”.

Each youth participant will receive a free lift ticket, transportation, rentals for the day, one on one coaching, and anything else that the youth participant may need. We guarantee a day of snowboarding, skill building, progression and FUN!

At the end of our events we do giveaways of our apparel, snowboards, helmets, goggles, and more that are made possible by our Sponsors.

Would your youth program or organization benefit from an experience like this? Let us know at [email protected]. We’d love to work with you!

The “Good Vibez N High Fivez” charity event made its debut during the 2017/2018 winter season by hosting two events in Keystone, CO during the season in partner with SOS Outreach. We were excited to work with SOS again during the 2019/2020 season. Check out this recap video so you can truly see the positive impact that we are making on the kids, and that the kids are making on us!

During the 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 seasons, we worked closely with Eddie Vargas, the lead director of NM(X) Sports to host events in New Mexico. Watch the positive impact we made during one of our events at Ski Pajariot below!

Below are quotes from those who have attended which show us how much of a difference we are really making.

“This was hands down one of the most incredible experiences of my life.”

“2 Days and countless vibez. Thank you @MountainVibez so much for giving my friends and I the opportunity to share the beauty of snowboarding and to give love to local kiddos of all different backgrounds and abilities. My heart is so full.”

“This weekend was absolutely awesome, I was fortunate enough to be a part of something that brought kids from the inner city to the mountain, to learn to snowboard for the first time. I kept telling my kids after every fall “you’d be surprised how life and snowboarding are alike. You might fall a lot but the more times you get up the better you’ll be. I was able to meet some pretty cool people along the way, thank you to the @MountainVibez team for putting this event on and letting me be a part of it.”

“This was one of the best weekends I’ve had in a while, thank you Justin for putting this on. @MountainVibez has rad group of people working to make these kids day, and it was awesome to see the changes in the kids from beginning to end of the day.”

“Last weekend @MountainVibez brought 50 underprivileged youth to come snowboard at Pajarito! They covered all the expenses to get this group out enjoying the mountain and learning to snowboard and organized donations for clothing and snowboards. Keep up the awesome work and come back soon!”

“I don’t think you guys get to see the residual impact you have but since Albuquerque is small and we run into the kids we work with often they talk about these rips FOREVER and how fun they were and they can recall every single adult there and everything they did and what they ate that day, it’s so cute. I ran into one from last year’s trip recently that was like “That was the coolest day of my life” and proceeded to tell me everything that happened that day lol.”
