Name?
Garret Rider

What is your nickname? If you have one?
Garlic

Where do you primarily ride?
Mount hood timberine and ski bowl!

What made you start snowboarding?
My dad got me into snowboarding when I was 8 but he never touched the park. So I’ve been snowboarding for 17 years but I just started riding park 3 years ago and that’s when snowboarding became my main passion!

What’s your favorite board to ride?
My bataleon wallie is hands down the best board I’ve ever ridden.

Favorite riding story if you have one?
Favorite riding story is probably when we found a cat track and build a goad gap style jump across it. Before I even sent it some guy on skis came by and hit it then came back and bucked a monster backflip over it. So obviously I had to try it… that was the first big flip I had ever done and it’s what started my big sender career!

Why do you love to snowboard?
I love snowboarding because it’s like art everyone puts their own spin on it

When you aren’t snowboarding what are you most likely finding yourself getting into?
When I’m not snowboarding there is never down time I’m usually skating, wakeskating, quading at the Oregon dunes, working on my car or working my construction job!

What is your favorite area on the mountain? Jumps, rails, natural terrain?
My favorite thing to ride would have to be jumps hands down. The best feeling in the world is when you send a huge jump and throw a trick and your brain shuts off for a second and your instinct/body takes over.

Where do you see yourself in five years snowboarding wise?  Traveling to another country?
I see myself being a known snowboarder who is producing movie parts in 5 years!

Do you have a pre-boarding ritual or something you need to have on you at all times on the mountain?

My pre boarding ritual would be listening to good music with my homies while getting geared up and smoking some gnomegrown cannabis.
