Well, I have a couple alter-ego’s if that counts? the oldest is “Warren Chapstick”, my newest, “Don Cedar”. ask about either and I’ll have a colourful back story to entertain you with.
Where do you primarily ride?
My home resort is Revelstoke. But I do love the Backcountry as well!
What made you start snowboarding?
My boredom with skiing and the fact that most of my friend took up snowboarding.
What’s your favorite board to ride?
My TrapperSnowboards Howler Split (160cm), that thing is a powder crushing beast.
Favorite riding story if you have one?
Well, pretty much any story that has to do with somebody or their friend going full send, making hilarity while in motion and surviving.
Why do you love to snowboard?
Because it’s just you and your buds, enjoying the mountain/slope having fun out in nature. Expressing yourself on the hill, any damn way you want, pure freedom. It’s just the best damn thing in the world.
When you aren’t snowboarding what are you most likely finding yourself getting into?
Hanging out with my girlfriend, fishing, hiking, skateboarding, reading, writing, splitting firewood, wood pipe carving, fly tying, boxing, video games.
What is your favorite area on the mountain? Jumps, rails, natural terrain?
I would have to say big-mountain/backcountry. Steep and deep. But I’ll literally ride anything as long as I’m on a Snowboard.
Where do you see yourself in five years snowboarding wise? Traveling to another country?
Yeah, my girlfriend and I are aiming to go to Japan for some riding in the next 5 years. In the meantime, continue to ride and explore the interior BC backcountry.
Do you have a pre-boarding ritual or something you need to have on you at all times on the mountain?
Big Breakfast and a lot of stretching, plus my girlfriend DJin’ the stereo with some tight hammers and bomb-ass tracks.
