Telluride, CO and Alaska.
What made you start snowboarding?
I would watch the winter X Games as a kid and always wonder what snowboarding would feel like, 18 years later and I’m still obsessed.
What’s your favorite board to ride?
My favorite snowboard at the moment is the Rossignol XV 164 wide.
Favorite riding story if you have one?
I don’t really have any favorites, any day on my snowboard is a treat.
Why do you love to snowboard?
I love to snowboard because of where it’s taken me and what it takes away, it clears away all the fog and stresses created in today’s society. I also love all of the friends and amazing people that I’ve met through snowboarding. You can’t forget about the POW, fresh snow will always put a smile on my face.
When you aren’t snowboarding what are you most likely finding yourself getting into?
I’m usually spending time outside hiking, camping, climbing, and flying my drone. I’m a big nerd when it comes to creating video.
What is your favorite area on the mountain? Jumps, rails, natural terrain?
I like riding natural terrain, getting creative with what’s already there. I don’t mind popping into the park here and there, I love my airtime.
Where do you see yourself in five years snowboarding wise? Traveling to another country?
I’ll most likely be back in Alaska, the mountains there will always be home for me.
Do you have a pre-boarding ritual or something you need to have on you at all times on the mountain?
Can’t go wrong with a big breakfast and some delicious coffee. I’m usually packing some fruit snacks or clementine’s on the mountain, you can’t go hungry up there or you’re gonna have a bad time.
