Name?
Benjamin Hunter Schirner

What is your nickname? If you have one?
Benson. 22 years young 7/8/95

Where do you primarily ride?
You can find me on hill most days at Bear Mountain, socal’s sunny park lap capital!

What made you start snowboarding?
What really started to get me into snowboarding was when I moved to Big Bear California from
Philadelphia PA, I moved here to continue to pursue my skateboarding career and once i got here to Big
Bear an realized there isn’t a whole lot to sk8 unless I drive down to LA. So realizing that Big Bear is a
big snowboarding town i decided there’s only gonna be one way to skateboard everyday here in bear and
that’s gonna be on my snowboard…

What’s Favorite board to ride?
Favorite board to ride has got to be a fresh aloha growing young park board. performance anywhere on
hill, the board is always amazing! The fact that they are a rider owned and operated company made
locally in socal just puts the cherry on top.

Favorite riding story if you have one?
One of my favorite memories i have made on my snowboard so far has to be the time me and a childhood
friend joe gangi hiked to the tippy top of the local ama motocross hill climb one of the steepest hills in
Pennsylvania that we grew up watching dirt bikers kill themselves trying to get up on a pow day and took
some of the best turns of my life down it.

Why do you love to snowboard?
I love to snowboard because all it ever is, is good times with good homies normally in some amazing
scenery!

When you aren’t snowboarding what are you most likely finding yourself getting into?
when I’m not snowboarding you can usually expect to find me on my skateboard somewhere in the
streets!

What is your favorite area on the mountain? Jumps, rails, natural terrain?
id say my favorite area on the mountain would have to be wherever I’m feeling it at the moment!
Sometimes in the right situation the right carve can feel better than the biggest baddest jump or rail, but
most the time it’s a jump or a rail haha.

Where do you see yourself in five years snowboarding wise? Traveling to another
Country?
In 5 years i see myself traveling a bunch to snowboard all over the world, Filming street in some of the
most amazing cities in the world! hopefully having my own pro models and helping with board tech and
design, apparel whatever I can help with to grow in the snowboarding industry because this is definitely
where I see myself.

Do you have a pre-boarding ritual or something you need to have on you at all times on
the mountain?
I’d say a pre-boarding ritual for me would have to be a good little stretch/hike to warm the legs up in the
morning, take a second to meditate and appreciate nature with some bumping tunes!
